BlueJacket Transport is expanding in your area and we are looking for 2-man teams to deliver and install appliances; washer/dryers, refrigerators, ranges, cooktops, microwaves, and dishwashers.
Installer loads truck in the morning according to route map and prepares appliances at customer location, including unloading from truck, unpacking appliances, conducting preliminary set-up. Assists in removing haul-aways and then installing new appliances. Keeps truck organized as new appliances are removed and old appliances loaded.
Tools and supplies are provided for all installs, which include water lines, gas lines, drain hoses, anti-tip brackets, and other various requirements.
If you have any previous back problems or other physical injuries, this is not the job for you. Responsibilities include driving 26-foot box truck to delivery locations, loading and unloading truck, lifting appliances (such as large refrigerators), setting and connecting appliances, and hauling away old appliances. Lifting is required in 2-man teams with the use of forearm straps and upper body straps, which creates a safe working environment. Hand trucks will also be used to move appliances.
Position requires good organizational work ethic, ability to work rapidly, and ability to interact with customers. This position has a required dress code that is strictly monitored.
Appliance installation experience is a plus! You must be at least 18 and must pass a background check. You must have a high school diploma or BED equivalent.
Pay is hourly, with incentive bonus for quality of work, selling additional services, and other various metrics. Clothing allowance provided, sick leave and holidays included.
